What to Expect in Trauma-Informed Counselling at Lavender Lane
Taking the first step toward counselling is a deeply personal and courageous choice. I want you to know that you're not alone in making it. It would be an honour to walk alongside you as we begin this journey together.
At Lavender Lane Counselling, I offer a warm, grounded, and professional space — whether you’re attending sessions in Rickmansworth or connecting with me online from elsewhere in the UK or Europe.
Counselling with me is trauma-informed, which means we go gently. Your pace, comfort, and sense of safety always come first. Together, we can explore what’s been feeling heavy, build resilience, and create room for meaningful change.

What I Can Help You With
Everyone’s story is unique, but some of the reasons people reach out to me include:

-
Anxiety and panic
-
Feeling overwhelmed, on edge, or stuck in worry
-
Low self-esteem and confidence
Struggling to feel good enough or believe in yourself -
Trauma and past experiences
Including childhood trauma, emotional neglect, or experiences that continue to affect your sense of safety -
Stress and burnout
Feeling emotionally or physically drained by daily pressures or responsibilities -
Relationship difficulties
Navigating disconnection, conflict, or unhelpful patterns that repeat over time -
Loss and grief
Coping with bereavement or other life changes that bring sadness or uncertainty -
Feeling stuck or unsure of who you are
Especially during transitions or when you're questioning your identity or direction -
People-pleasing and self-doubt
Losing sight of your own needs or struggling to set boundaries
If what you’re facing is not listed here, that’s completely okay. You are very welcome to get in touch, and we can gently explore whether counselling might feel like the right support for you.

“A calm, reflective space — whenever you’re ready.”
My Experience and Approach
I’m an experienced integrative counsellor, offering in-person therapy in Rickmansworth and online counselling across the UK and Europe. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and rooted in compassion.

Alongside my private practice, I also work in a charity setting supporting survivors of sexual abuse and assault. This work has deepened my understanding of how trauma can impact self-worth, relationships, and daily life — often in quiet, misunderstood ways.

In our sessions, I draw from a blend of therapeutic approaches tailored to your unique story. I don’t follow a one-size-fits-all method. Instead, I work gently and collaboratively, always guided by your pace and what feels most important to you.

Clients often share that they value the steady, kind presence I offer. Whether you are seeking healing, clarity, or simply a place where you can be heard, I am here to support you with care and respect.
