About Me

Michele (She, Her)

I've always enjoyed helping people. However I didn't find my way straight into counselling. I've also worked in retail, childcare, and office work. Working in these different sectors has given me experiences with people from all walks of life, which I now use to better help people.

However what really inspired me to switch to counselling was seeking help after going through my own personal struggles with mental health. This showed me what a huge difference getting that support can make in our lives.

I also learnt that even though seeking help can feel daunting, it's ok to recognise that you want or need help, and to go get it.

Therapy can sometimes feel difficult and uncomfortable. Why wouldn't, it when we are letting our painful, sore bits be seen.

But it can also feel safe, comforting, and healing, and really can make so much difference in our lives.

I wanted to help people experience the support counselling offers. To find healing for their pain, improve their mental well being, or to facilitate the opportunity for them to explore the difficulties in their lives.  Helping people to find their best way forward.

I will do my best to make you feel comfortable, and will treat you with honesty, openness, and true feeling.

My Experience

Alongside my private practice, I work within an organisation that helps young people and adults who have experienced sexual assault or abuse.

I also attend regular clinical supervision, hold professional liability insurance, and I'm a member of the National Counselling Society (NCS), abiding by their ethical code of conduct.
